The Book of Psalms is the ancient hymnal of God's people. The Psalms give voice to various aspects of our faith and life...depths of woe to joy and gladness...plus everything in between. Join us for this summer sermon series in June, July and August as we delve deeply into a wide variety of Psalms.

Psalm 51 is considered a "penitential" psalm. Written by David when he was convinced of his own sinfulness, it's all about admission of guilt and coming clean before the Lord. But David also shows us how God is the one who truly cleanses us. Let's all come together and "Come Clean."

Psalm 47 begins with these words... "Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy." The Christian faith offers a joyfilled life. No matter where you live and no matter what your circumstance, God brings joy in abundance. Let's celebrate and clap our hands as we worship with an international flair.

As we come together in worship on this Fourth of July weekend, we will hear the words of Psalm 33: "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." We pray that God will bless the great nation in which we live, but also remind us that we are part of a "nation" without borders, a "nation" of people who worship Jesus Christ as Lord and King.

David wrote in Psalm 139: "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me." There is no one in the world who knows us like God knows us. He knows everything about us. He knowns our deepest darkest secrets. He knows us fully...and he loves us still. Let's come together and hear how we are "Known" by God as we take a close look at this psalm.

Psalm 95 is often refered to as the "Venité" in Latin. Its verses offer us an invitation to come and worship. The psalm bids us to come and kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God and we are the flock under his care. Indeed, the Good Shepherd invites us today as we explore this psalm together.
